Sketches for Spring 2010 Collection

This is a selection of looks from my Spring 2010 Collection to be displayed this January at The Putney School in Putney, Vermont. The sketches were done in watercolor and pen.

Looks from Fall/Winter 2008 Collection

This is a sample of my Fall/Winter 2008 Collection displayed in a fashion show at my high school.  The complete collection consisted of 18 looks, all of which I designed and created independently.

3/4 sleeve cobalt tee with button-down numbers skirt in checked cotton.
Jersey "paper plane" gown with turquoise slip.
Violet and white t-shirt gown with divergent stripes and bow detail. 

This spring collection was a departure from my winter show, incorporating bold colors and playful patterns.  This collection consisted of 17 looks and was also displayed in a fashion show at my school.  One thing that I always keep in mind while creating clothing is the balance of playfulness and elegance.  The idea that something can be unique and exciting while still remaining sophisticated is a major element to my design aesthetic.
